Heaven's Design Team Wiki

Idea 6 is the 6th episode of the Heaven's Design Team anime.

Synopsis[]

Part 1[]

Shimoda greets the Animal Design team in a cheery mood. The team asks him what is happening, and Shimoda hands them a departmental notice. However, because of his awful handwriting, the team can't read it. Apparently, God has decided to reward the team with a three-day company vacation to the Galapagos Islands. It was something that Tsuchiya had been negotiating for some time.

The trip would begin the next day. But the team is worried as several of them still have to finish their current projects. Despite God allowing them to submit after they return, the team knows they would still be working. The team considers heading to the islands immediately, which shocks Shimoda. He protests that nothing has been prepared yet, but the team decides to go anyway.

Down on Trial Island, Higuchi builds a hot spring for the team to relax. In addition, she also built an extra room for anyone needing a separate workspace. As the team is getting undressed, they all talk about the projects they are working on. Kimura is the only one currently not working on a project. A few minutes later, the team is relaxing in the hot springs. However, the boys are having trouble due to Kimura bringing a fierce-looking crustacean monster to join them. Apparently, it was a rejected project he made previously. Over on the girls' side, Higuchi and Kanamori are enjoying themselves, while Meido sits on the side working on her project.

God had recently approved one of her animals, the shark, and has now requested some variations of the species. Noticing Higuchi's tools, she gets an idea to use the tools as inspiration. Kanamori proclaims how everything is perfect but wishes that there was some snow. Higuchi grants her wish and makes some changes to the atmosphere. As it starts snowing, the team decides to head inside for dinner.

Inside, the team sits down to enjoy a hot pot dish, which Kimura prepared using the monster from the bath. To everyone's surprise, it actually tastes delicious. At that moment, Shimoda enters with a barrel of beer and a note he found by the entrance. The note has several magazine letters glued to it reading "no one leave the room." Unabara and Kanamori wonder if they should be worried. However, the rest of the team decides to put it aside and begin what is sure to be a good party. Two hours later, everyone appears to be hungover. Shimoda notices that Kimura is missing, and Kanamori replies that he went outside to go fishing.

Meido suddenly remembers that she recently tossed some of her half-finished sharks out in the water, which worries everyone. They all head outside and call out to Kimura, although Mizushima heads in earlier due to the cold weather. The team asks Meido if the sharks are any good at tracking prey. She replies yes and explains the features she added, which gives her an idea. Using one of her sharks as a base, she enhances its sense of smell and spreads its nose apart. Suddenly, Shimoda receives a message from God with divine approval. Both the hammerhead shark and saw shark are born. Happy that she was able to finish, Meido goes on about making one based on a circular saw, leaving Shimoda to wonder whether she is still drunk.

A few minutes later, all the sharks start swimming in circles, indicating that they found Kimura. The team then wonders how they are going to fetch him without getting eaten. Higuchi then comes up with a solution by creating some cumulonimbus clouds. This creates a tornado that sucks Kimura from the sea. However, the tornado sucks up the sharks too. Everyone is left screaming as sharks rain down upon them from the sky.

Later on, as the sun starts to rise, everyone starts to wake up. Unabara wonders where Mizushima is, to which Venus replies that Shimoda went to check on him in the extra room. Suddenly a loud scream comes from the outside. The team rushes to find Shimoda standing in shock over an unconscious Mizushima with an ashtray over his head. Kimura proclaims that Mizushima is dead which sends everyone into a panic.

Part2[]

The room looks like a crime scene with things scattered on the floor and several bloody footprints over by the mirror. Everything looks as if someone trashed the place. Kanamori comments on how it looks like a crime scene. Everyone wonders what could have happened when Kimura cuts them off. Proclaiming himself as the "Ate My Money Away," he announces that he will solve the mystery and identify the culprit, leaving everyone confused.

Kimura starts examining the room with Shimoda assisting. First, he notes the ashtray on Mizushima's head as a potential murder weapon. Next, he points to the trail of red footprints that lead towards the three-way mirror, where a pair of birds are standing. He theorizes that whoever attacked Mercury must have come from the mirror. As he samples the red residue from the footprints to determine if it is blood, he notices it tastes like milk.

At that moment, Kanamori realizes that her latest animal project might be the culprit. She explains that God assigned her to create an animal where the males provide milk for their offspring. Thus she came up with a new bird species, the flamingo. However, she had been having trouble getting the birds to reproduce.

With this information, Kimura theorizes that the culprit must have stepped into the milk as they approached Mizushima. He then points to the milk-stained sock in Mizushima's hand. Upon examining it, Kimura realizes that it belongs to Mercury. He changes his theory stating that Mercury must have stepped into the flamingo milk before being attacked. Just then, Kanamori realizes that her flamingos have produced a chick. Looking over at the mirror, she deduces that her flamingos need to be in large flocks to reproduce. After a few quick changes, Shimoda receives divine approval from God, and the flamingo is born.

At that moment, Mizushima wakes up and tries to sit up. With no clues to what happened to him, Kimura starts a new theory. Since the culprit hit Mizushima with an ashtray, it was likely a hate crime. Kimura then questions everyone to check their alibis. Kanamori and Meido are ruled out because they were together the whole night. Mizushima is ruled out because he is the victim. Higuchi is ruled out as well, although she did recall seeing the helm of someone's yukata behind the building.

Last but not least, is Unabara. Kimura starts theorizing that the nicest person is the most suspicious and the reason was that Mizushima's snake was chasing Unabara's squirrel. But Unabara explains that Mizushima was helping him with his project from God- a squirrel that attacks snakes and can resist snake venom. Suddenly everyone wonders where the snake is. They have Mizushima make some modifications to his snake blueprint to find it. Just then a rattling noise comes from the bushes which gets the attention of Unabara's squirrel. With the snake found, God sends another divine approval for the California ground squirrel and the rattlesnake.

After spotting the yukata robe on the ground, the team realizes that the snake must have dragged a spare from the room. With no other leads, Higuchi suggests the threatening note. Everyone then realizes that Shimoda might be somewhat involved. The team goes to look for Shimoda, who disappeared, and finds him standing near the edge of the cliff. Thinking that he is planning to jump, the team tries to talk him down. Shimoda however, tells them not to come any closer. Just then a building rises out of the sea. Standing on the balcony, are Tsuchiya and Ueda dressed in costume attire.

Feeling relieved, Shimoda announces that their island villa is complete, leaving the team confused. He explains that Ueda and Tsuchiya built it as a surprise. But, because the team arrived in the Galapagos ahead of schedule, he had to find a way to buy some time. Even Kimura helped out by playing detective since he saw the villa while diving in the middle of the night. When asked about the note, Shimoda explains that it was a notice and he thought it would be easier to read than his handwriting. As for what happened to Mizushima, Shimoda explains that the squirrel was trying to bite his head. The ashtray was placed there to protect Mizushima's head. With everything sorted out, the team heads to the villa to enjoy their vacation.
